Anna Rickert, Owner
Hi, my name is Anna Rickert, the owner of Pup Culture LLC. I grew up in Minnesota with a household of pets and have loved animals ever since. Right now I have two fur babies (a cat and dog) of my own: Ellie and June. I attended the College of Saint Benedict and majored in English and secondary education. I was a middle and high school language arts teacher for nine years, but I decided to trade in working with children for my real dream of working with animals. I knew it was time for a career change when I found myself going for walks around the lakes in Minneapolis just to scope out the dogs. Currently, I volunteer through Good Karma Animal Rescue as a foster parent. I am trained in pet CPR and first aid through the Red Cross.
For years I was unable to own a dog because of long work hours and travel, so I understand the guilt that busy people who own pets often feel. I strive to offer the type of service that I would want as a dog owner. I am dedicated to providing you with reliable, friendly service, so you don’t have to worry about your pet when you are gone. We provide safe, healthy dog walks and pet-sitting with lots of loving.
Hi, my name is Kirstin. I live in New Hope with my husband Joe and our English Shepherd, Marta. Currently, Marta is our only pet (unless you count Kevin, our favorite squirrel) but I’ve had a few cats along the way and horses have been a huge part of my life as well. I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield with a degree in religion, and began a job in health insurance immediately after. It wasn’t a bad job, but it was all I could do not to sneak Marta in my cubicle with me every morning and after work, I rushed to the barn every night to see my horse Kola. I realized working with animals would be much more fun than working in cubicles so I decided to give professional pet care a try and I’ve been doing it now since 2008. I feel so grateful to be able to spend my days walking dogs and breathing in the fresh Minnesota air (even when it’s cold.) I know how hard it is to be away from your pets all day, so I aim to take care of the pets in my care just as I would want someone to take care of Marta- with lots of love, fun and attention to detail.
Linda, Pet Sitter in Crystal, Robbinsdale, New Hope, Plymouth
I have been a foster and volunteer for a local rescue, and currently share my home with two German Shepherd mixes: Doc, a GSD/Chow Chow mix, who is training to be a Therapy Dog, and Bena, a sassy senior Belgian Malinois/GSD. Before buying a house with a yard, I was a cat person: I had kittens to seniors, healthy cats to ill cats, and even a diabetic, so I am practiced in administering insulin and other meds. I have fostered post-surgery dogs, shy dogs, flight risk dogs, and until his passing in December, I owned a dog with Irritable Bowel Disease who received B12 injections and a myriad of meds and supplements. I am certified in Pet CPR by the Red Cross. My background before I fell in love with dog walking and pet sitting included operations management in higher education, retail sales management, human resources, and marketing. I recently tried going back to the corporate world, but missed working with animals too much.
Hi! My name is Cortney. I live in Bloomington with my husband and our two cats, Pyewacket and Clementine. I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I used to call up the neighbors and ask to walk their dogs for fun. I spent many years volunteering in rescue shelters with cats and dogs and most recently have been volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation. My degree is in Mathematics, but after a few years in an office job I decided it wasn’t for me. Now I teach dance in the evenings and walk dogs during the day. I’m so excited to get to know your furry children and to enjoy some time with them outside.

Hello, my name is Marie, and I am very happy to be a dog walker. I grew up on a family farm north of the Twin Cities. I moved down to the Cities after college and lived close to downtown for years. During that time, I worked in bank operations for a while and then switched to work in a college admissions office. Since moving to the cities I lived with a roommate that owned two dogs which became a big part of my life. Then I lived alone, but with three wonderful felines. Their time with me lasted twenty years, and I still smile big when I think them. Last March, I moved to Crystal to be with my new husband, and in July my job at the college was eliminated. After working corporate and office jobs, I knew I wanted to work with animals: vet technician; dog groomer; pet sitter or dog walker. The fresh air, desired exercise, and the great company of dogs made it an easy choice. The dogs I have met are always happy to see me, and I’m thrilled to give them my gracious attention.
